Aims & Objectives

Supporting and maintaining the highest standards of training and practice in public relations in Ireland.

Membership of PRII

The grades of membership are as follows:

• Student (annual fee = €63.49):
  - Minimum 20 years of age.
  - 5 Leaving Certificate subjects.
  - Evidence of registration on a PRII course OR other accredited course leading to an examination relevant to the practice of public relations.
  Note: Evidence of valid course registration must be submitted each year on renewal of student membership.
  Note: Graduates of recognised public relations courses (see Affiliate category).

• Associate:
  - Not engaged in full-time public relations.
  - Bona fide interest in the profession.

• Affiliate:
  - Minimum 21 years of age.
  - Hold PRII Diploma OR equivalent standard qualification.
  and/or
  - Full-time acceptable public relations experience at executive level for at least two years.
  Note: Application to include a letter of reference from employer outlining applicant’s relevant public relations experience/duties.

• Graduates:
  Graduates of the PRII National Syllabus Course are offered Affiliate membership at a special graduate subscription rate of €119.00 for one calendar year following the successful completion of their PRII recognised course.

• Full Member:
  - Minimum 24 years of age.
  - Hold PRII Diploma OR a PRII recognised public relations qualification OR equivalent standard of education
  and/or
  - full-time acceptable public relations experience at executive level for at least four years

• Honorary Memberships (by nomination of National Council/AGM endorsement):
  - Fellow
  - Honorary Life Member

Only Full “MEMBERS” of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland are entitled to use the MPRII title.

Subscriptions are valid for a period of 12 months and are due for renewal in October each year. Subscriptions are non-refundable.
