Alliance newsletter
Current newsletter -
September
2007
Dear
Global Alliance Members and Friends,
Here’s the second
number of our newsletter which updates you on current GA projects and
features some of our member’s activities and endeavours.
In this issue you’ll find a report on the Public Relations Institute of
New Zealand as well as the latest from the partnership between the
Global Alliance and Digital Management for the development of an
innovative software for PR professionals to manage information and
communication.
You’ll be glad to know that our work to establish a set of core
competencies that organisations are assessing to award professional
credentials is moving. The Global Alliance work group, involving 10
organisations, is making great progresses and its valuable outcome will
create value for GA member organisations wishing to develop their
professional accreditation schemes
Also in this issue, an invitation to attend the Public Relations Society
of America’s International Conference in Philadelphia, October 20-23,
which will have a Global Alliance panel.
Speaking about major PR events, don’t forget that the next World Public
Relations Festival and Conference is taking place in London next June
23-24, 2008 and read the latest developments of the organising
committee.
The Global Alliance community is growing and everyone’s personal
involvement and leadership can help make a difference. That’s why I
would ask for a concrete action from you. Please take a moment to
forward this newsletter or its permanent link for the GA website to your
members and contacts.
Global Alliance's projects are creating value for the professional
community worldwide and I would also like to remind you that you can
still help us in a major research project covering “The Study of Media
Transparency and Payments for News Coverage Practices Worldwide”. Just
click here to go directly to the on-line survey and answer the
questions put up by Dr. Katerina Tsetsura from the University of
Oklahoma or
read more about the research here
All the Board are looking forward to receive your feedback and
suggestions, so please send them to our Executive Officer João Duarte (joao.duarte@globalpr.org).
