Re: Notice of AGM for the Global Alliance council and invitation to attend the WPRF in Trieste, Italy 28-30 June 2005

I wish to inform you that the next Annual General meeting of the Global Alliance Council will take place in Trieste Italy in Stazione Marittima at 2:00 PM 28 June 2005. Your confirmation of attendance is needed at this time.

Important business of our Alliance will be discussed at the AGM:

	Approval of minutes from AGM in Quebec
	Receipt of reports from the Chairman, Treasurer and Committee heads
	Approval of acts and appointment of auditors
	Election process for vacancies on the executive board in 2006
	And to transact any other business that members will have raised as a result of this call letter

If you have an item you would like to have considered on the agenda for the AGM, please indicate it to the Secretary within 30 days.

I would also ask that you confirm your intention to attend the AGM before 29 April by contacting the Secretary at: Colinf@cipr.co.uk. In the event that you or your delegate cannot attend the AGM, you may appoint a person by proxy. Please contact the secretary to avail yourself of that opportunity.

Also, and exclusively for the GA members, we have organised a workshop for association leaders on 28 June at 9:00 AM. The workshop is intended do give us a chance to learn best practices from each other on the manner in which we manage our respective associations and to discuss areas of possible co-operation. This would be of particular importance to our new and developing member organisations. I wish to thank Rose Marie Losier of Dircom (Spain) for organising this event which has been organised in way to maximize dialogue between association leaders. If you are planning to be in Trieste, this workshop promises to be a ‘must attend’ event.

On behalf of our co-host, FERPI, I would also like to invite you to participate in the 2nd World Public Relations Festival which will follow our AGM. Members are urged to register by going to the WPRF website at: www.worldprfestival.org/eng/
