Notice of Elections

Article 9.2 of the Articles of Association of the Global Alliance provide for elections of the officers and Executive Board at Annual General Meetings.

The post of Chairman - elect will be vacant from 1 January 2006 when. Sejamothopo Motau succeeds to the chair

Nomination for this position can be made by the accredited officer of any organisation in full membership. They should be sent to Gerry Davis, Executive Director of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) at gerry@prii.ie or by fax +353 1 676 4562, who has been appointed Returning Officer by the Board, by 12 noon on 20 May. The nomination should state clearly the post for which the nomination is being made and that the person stated has agreed to be nominated.

Should there be a contested election candidates will be asked to provide statements to appear on the Global Alliance website. Member associations will be e-mailed proxy appointment forms by 1 June for use by associations not being represented in person at the AGM. Proxy forms must be returned to the Returning Officer by 20 June at the latest. The election itself will take place during the AGM.
